Tasting Notes:
"An iron fist in a velvet glove" is a fitting description for this 2001 Syrah from Gabrielli Vineyard. The wine has a dark, deep ruby-purple color with beautiful spice and peppery notes on the nose. Deep and extremely dense blackberry and black cherry flavors are complemented by an amazing silky, velvety texture, great structure and balance with a very long, full finish. This wine was made for big, hearty meals.
